For those of you searching for a bit more insight, here's a little more about me. I've been making records for the past 20 or so years and as luck has had it, most occasions have been pretty darn good. I have engineered, mixed, and/or mastered a number of albums from varying genres of music, but have stayed within the realm of what most people would call indie rock, or indie pop. Some of the bands/artists that I have had the great fortune of working on projects with include, but are not limited to: The Society of Rockets, Scrabbel, And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Seventeen Evergreen, HOTTUB, Deadwood Forest, Explosions in the Sky, The Foreign Resort, Necromonkey, Daniel Kobialka, Ryo Yanagitani, Bel Cuore Quartet and many more. As a musician, I've played drums for many different acts as either a guest or permanent fixture. Some of these acts include: Scrabble, Mentallo and the Fixer, ASP, We Is Shore Dedicated, D.W. Holiday, and a few more. I have also had the honor to teach at Ex'pression College for Digital Arts, where I was named "Outstanding Teacher of the Year" in 2006, and the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I was the director of the music technology program.
I also co-owned and co-operated Three Ring Records and Monolathe Recordings & Communications; independent record labels with the latter also incorporating a publishing arm. Three Ring Records was voted "Best Of The Bay" by the readers of the Bay Area Guardian in 2007 and officially ceased operations in 2014. Both labels and its artists have been featured all over the world and were also distributed internationally in both the physical and digital domain.
I'm also the father of an amazingly talented, beautiful, empathetic, super-sweet little girl that goes by the name of Stormy, and step-dad to a rambunctious little dude that jumps off of everything named Dante!
